Who controls your personal information?

TigKid Prints is operated by Lance Clifford trading as TigKid Prints. For UK data protection purposes, Lance Clifford is the controller of personal information collected through this website and through orders placed with TigKid Prints.

Information we may collect

Depending on how you use the website, we may collect:

• your name and contact details;
• email address and phone number;
• delivery and billing-related address information;
• order details, products purchased, notes and collection preferences;
• customer account details and account-session information;
• payment status and payment references;
• messages and enquiries you send to us;
• newsletter subscription and marketing-consent information;
• technical information needed to operate and secure the website.

Payment information

Payments are processed by Stripe. Full payment-card details are entered into Stripe's payment service and are not stored in the TigKid Prints product database. We receive information needed to confirm the payment, such as payment status and a transaction/session reference.

Why we use your information

We use personal information where necessary to:

• take, process, fulfil and deliver your order;
• arrange local collection;
• take payment and confirm payment status;
• send order and service emails;
• send newsletter and marketing emails where you have chosen to receive them;
• provide and secure customer accounts;
• respond to questions, returns, complaints and custom-print enquiries;
• keep accounting, tax and business records required by law;
• prevent fraud, misuse and security incidents;
• establish, exercise or defend legal claims where necessary.

Our lawful bases

Depending on the situation, we rely on performance of a contract, compliance with legal obligations, our legitimate interests in operating and protecting the business, and consent where consent is legally required.

Newsletter and marketing emails

TigKid Prints only sends newsletter or promotional emails to people who have actively chosen to receive them. We record the email address, name and consent status needed to manage that subscription. You can withdraw consent at any time by using the unsubscribe link included in every newsletter or by contacting TigKid Prints.

Withdrawing newsletter consent does not stop essential emails about an order, account, payment, delivery or customer-service request.

Service providers

We use service providers to run the website and fulfil orders. These include:

• Cloudflare for website hosting, storage, database and security services;
• Stripe for payment processing;
• Resend for transactional emails and consented newsletter emails;
• delivery providers where needed to deliver an order;
• bookkeeping, accounting or professional advisers where necessary for the business.

We only share personal information where it is necessary for the relevant service, where the law requires it, or where another lawful basis applies. We do not sell your personal information.

Cookies and local storage

The website may use strictly necessary browser storage to keep essential features working. For example, a customer account session uses an essential session cookie and your basket may be stored locally in your browser so that it remains available while you shop.

We do not currently use this policy to claim consent for advertising cookies or behavioural advertising. If we add non-essential tracking in the future, we will update the site and provide any consent controls required by law.

How long we keep information

We keep order, payment and accounting records for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the business and meet tax, accounting and legal obligations. Customer-account information may be retained while the account remains active, subject to legal retention requirements. Enquiries may be kept where needed to deal with the request or maintain an appropriate business record.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal information. Customer passwords are not intended to be stored as readable plain text; the website stores password verification data instead. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.

Your data-protection rights

Depending on the circumstances, UK data-protection law may give you rights to ask for access to your personal data, correction, deletion, restriction, objection and data portability. Some rights are subject to legal exceptions.
